Video games and exercise…
…do they mix?
I guess after the launch of Wii Fit here in the US, we may find out the answer to that very question! Wii Fit is a new game for the Nintendo Wii that uses a controller called the balance board that can recognize differential weights and movements between two separate panels. In some instances, the panels can be used for your feet (balance, hula hoop, etc…) and in some cases can be used for your hands (push ups). There are a lot of people who have reserved this game and a few are blogging their weight loss training regimen to see if Wii Fit can really help people lose weight. Of course, there are always the disgruntled people since the start up program in Wii Fit tells you your health status (based on height, weight and body mass index). A little girl was labeled as unhealthy and the parents raised a ruckus about it.
For those who can’t afford a Wii or Wii Fit, you could always try making your own game like a guy over an England who converted two excerise bikes into controllers that manipulate the puck in Pong. Welcome to the world of Cyclepong 2.0!

See, video games aren’t all bad…
The Daily Mail, a web paper located in the United Kingdom, has reported that children are now less likely to have an injury from falling out of a tree, and the reason…more kids are playing video games than playing outside!
Seven years ago the chances were about equal. But as the lives of “the Xbox generation” have become dominated by sedentary activities, the likelihood of them having an outdoor accident has plummeted.
In 2006/07 - the latest year for which data is available - 1,067 children under 15 needed medical assistance for tree falls. In 1999/00 the figure was 1,823.
I don’t ever want to hear someone telling me I’m wasting my time by playing Lord of the Rings Online or the PlayStation. It’s just my form of self-preservation. I mean goodness, I could walk outside and sprain my ankle going down the driveway. It’s much safer sitting on my rear playing games…
No commentsThe Cozy Suite
So it appears that Delta Airlines will start revamping the seating on their plans in 2010 to a new design increases comfort, promotes privacy and yet still gives more space than conventional airlines. It really is interesting to see how a few small changes can really make a difference in the total experience. I don’t fly that often, but I can tell you that if I did, this would be a must to keep me from getting seated next to the guy who should be in two seats because of his size.

Guitar Hero - Aerosmith…
So most people probably know already that Guitar Hero Aerosmith is coming out June 29th, and the latest news had stated that it would be other bands than Aerosmith. That to me is a good thing since I know of a handful of Aerosmith songs that I like, and those would be much better suited to Rock Band than Guitar Hero. Anyway, G4TV has posted a new trailer showing some of the content and at least confirming the presence of other bands. How much is everyone else looking forward to this version?
